Baptisme!

Well this week was crazy!

Well, on Monday night we were walking around preaching the good word and BAM we walked past our investigator's house and Presidente Moreno was there with his wife! It was pretty weird and funny! They took our investigators to the temple to take pictures and to have a little Family Night and then we ended up seeing them as they were dropping them back off at their house.  So we ended up having dinner with President and our investigators! So that was fun!

Tuesday we had another Zone Conference and it was super awesome and powerful! Just really focused on how we need to really put to work our objective here and to keep teaching with faith! Learned a lot and now we are really focusing on D and C section 4!

Wednesday was probably the hardest day of my life hahaha! My companion almost dipped from the mission and it was tough! My companion is a super great guy! Just like everyone though, the life of a missionary is hard.  But right now all is well and we are working at being better!  On Friday, I had to do intercambios in the Isla Trinataria and that was scary. If you want to, go look it up on google and you'll know what I mean hahah!  But I lived!!!

On Sunday, we had an awesome Baptisme!  Ella se llama Rocio!  She was super sick about a month ago and some members told us we needed to give her a blessing.  Her faith was awesome and she got better!  So on Sunday morning she got baptized!  It was awesome!  And also on Sunday in church here, I gave a talk and I'll just share the scriptures I shared with the ward with you guys and if you want to look them up you can!  But the talk was awesome and I think it really helped some people!

John 21:15-17
D and C 18:15-16
Matthew 28:19-20
Helaman 6:3
3 Nephi 17:3
1 Timothy 3:5

A Really Awesome Week!

This was a really awesome week!  Well, we have a family here that just got baptized about a month ago and now the dad is getting ready to get baptized!  So this past week, Presidente Moreno and Hermana Moreno are awesome and came down to our sector here in the sketchy part of Ecuador and taught a leason with us to help this great family progress even more!  It was awesome to have lunch and teach with the Big Guy, Presidente Moreno, and Hermana Moreno. They are really some great, great people!

This week too was filled with a lot of milagros (miracles)!  We had a member in the ward next to ours call us last week and said that her two kids and mom wanted to get baptized!  It was awesome because the ward that she is in doesn't have missionaries and we had no idea that they were even interested, so we were so excited! This is a great family that has been going to church for 20 years but just have not had the faith to get baptized until now.  It was awesome!  Next Saturday will be their big day!

We also have another baptizm this week!  Ella se llama Rocio!  She's super awesome and so nice.  She was super sick a while back so my companion gave her a Priesthood Blessing and now it's like she was never sick! There really have been some great milagros here.  We had 12 investigators go to church yesterday and that's always awesome! The work here is really great!  In fact, Presidente Moreno is with a family we are teaching right now at the temple showing them around!  So awesome!

Well, all is well with me!  If you have time read the last talk that President Nelson gave Sunday morning during General Conference!  It's a game changer!  Also if you know Spanish, watch this funny missionary video! haha

Also I can't believe my family is going to the Roes' without me!  NOOOO!  haha it's ok. I will have to go see them when I get home!

Just Keep Swimming...

Just keep swimming will be the title of this email!

Well, this week was for sure a very interesting week here for me in the mission!  I'm here in my new sector with my new companion and it has for sure been mixed emotions. This sector is actually super super small!  I have 1 week here and almost have walked down every street. It's a ward that I'm in, but it isn't very strong.  I'm right next to a river and it smells, haha, but it does bring a nice cool breeze during the day!  So that's nice!

We have some really great humble members here who are just super awesome and love giving us food!  We have some really great investigators here too!  We have an investigator who has a son out in the mission in Bolivia. She has been listening to the missionaries for 5 years and has not wanted to get baptized. Last Tuesday my companion and I went over and invited her and her husband to get baptized this Mother's Day to surprise their son in the mission and they accepted!  It was awesome!  I actually even cried during their lesson.  All we did was share Alma 29 but it was so awesome and the Spirit was there!

We also have a great family who got baptized like 2 months ago but the dad wasn't ready yet, but last night we invited him and he also accepted!  Some great milagros here!

My companion is from Inquitos, Peru. He is actually a really cool guy. We like the same stuff so it's nice.  Just trying to put into practice the counsel from our prophet, President Nelson, to love everyone and show others how we care.

Love you all!  Hope all is well back home!

Temple
Conference
Changes

Well this week was a week of surprises! That is for sure!  Well first off we got to go to the temple last week and it was just awesome! It was such a great time to feel closer to the Lord in his house. All the zones in Guayaquil got to go, so there were about 60 elders that went and it was awesome to see everyone! Then on Saturday we had interviews with President and that was great too. We talked a lot about the things that I have learned so far in the mission and the things that I really need to improve. Some of the things that I have learned so far are how to have more confidence in myself and really speak my mind without having really any fears, and also I have learned that just doing the little things makes the biggest differences! Telling people what they are good at and making them feel wanted in the world is very important.  All in all it was a great interview.  We also talked about my goals. I believe that I will be coming home around August 9th just in time for school. President Moreno said it was a great goal and that he will talk with the office this week and that I should know for sure within 10 or so days.

Also Conference was great!  One of the best I have seen!  Every session was a treat and to hear the words from our Prophet and our leaders was great! I loved Elder Bednar's talk and President Nelson's talk! Super awesome and I'm excited to see these changes happen here in Ecuador! It should really help the people here to be more united as 1!

Also Sunday afternoon I found out that I had transfers again! I only had 3 weeks in my last sector and it was a great 3 weeks!  I really learned a lot!  Now I'm still in Guayaquil and my new companion is from Peru again and has 9 months in the mission.  It should be a good time and I think I'll learn a lot from my new companion ;) hahah!  Say some good prayers for me!

I hit the big 18 months this week! 18 months and still going strong!
