2 Years...Last Email Home
2 years....
Well, this will be my last email home before I get home next week.
Going to start it off by saying that this last week was awesome! We had another great bautismo! It was the daughter of a recent convert who finally found the faith and encouragement to get baptized! It was just awesome! She was so happy and it made me feel really good inside! Also, this past week we started teaching the son of another recent convert. His mom went to the temple last week and he thought it was weird that we in the church did baptisms for the dead. So we taught him lessons 1 and 2 last week and now we are going to teach his wife tonight! Just a really fun week!
Today, we as a mission, for the 1st time had a fun P-day! President Moreno called us last night and told us that we were going to play basketball and volleyball and Parque Semanas. It was so awesome because we got to finally wear clothes other than church clothes, and it was fun to see everyone!
Well, 2 years really didn't feel like 2 years...This has been the best and the hardest experience in my life! I'm so grateful for this time I have had here in Ecuador! I can honestly say that I know that this Church is the Church of Jesus Christ. I know that He knows me and loves me so much! I wouldn't have been able to have done this without Him. The things I have seen and felt here in Ecuador have been life changing. I know that He lives. I know that He has a perfect plan for each and everyone of us. Ecuador will always be my second home and my second family!
Thank you everyone for all your love and support this last 2 years. :)
I will be coming home on August 8th and that same night at 8:15 everybody is welcome to come see me.
Also, on August 19th I will be reporting in church at 9am, and everyone is also invited to come and hear more about my life these last couple of years!
Love,
Elder Hoole

Fun Week!
Well, it's super trunky getting photos from home and seeing pictures of people hugging their moms! (ya mismo mami) :) (15 days)
Well, this week was super fun! This week on Tuesday morning the Zone leaders called us and told us that they were going to be doing an intercambio (splits) with us, but for 2 days instead of just one! So I got to chill with my boy Elder Layton from Alta High School for 2 days and it was so fun to actually work with someone who is your pana (buddy) and get the work done!
This week we found some really great people out tracting and 2 people even contacted us directly and asked us to teach them about the gospel! We were just filled with milagros (miracles) in this week! Crazy story: So today for P-day we went to the mall and I ate lunch at Carl's Jr and Cinnabon! It was so good! But on the way back home, we took the bus (sketchy) and when the bus pulled up at a red light, some crazy lady in the road started to attack the bus and started throwing her shoes at the window and was trying to break inside haha! I was low key scared because if she would have gotten in I don't know what she would've done! But it made me laugh a little and just reminded me that I really love this crazy, awesome country and the people! And everyone riding on the bus with us was just chill about it! Haha
This week, I was reading in the Book of Mormon in Jacob 5 and 6 and man, those are some great chapters! If you want a great read, pop yourself into those chapters and pick out all the doctrine that you can!
So all is well! Life is swell!

Great and Hard Week!
So, yesterday I gave my last talk in church as a missionary.
Well, this week was actually pretty hard. After a couple of years in the mission you'd think with time it would get easier. This week, we just couldn't find anybody to teach and that's always tough. We ended up really focusing this week on the less-active members and that was really cool. It's always so great when we help people get back on the iron rod and help them to feel the spirit in their lives. I think everyday this past week we found a family that hadn't been going to church for a long time and I think in every lesson we had, the family was crying at the end and feeling the spirit. It was so awesome. I learned that with almost every family the reason why they didn't want to come back to church is because they didn't want to feel embarrassed for not coming. We taught them that that was Satan working with you guys and we shared Alma 7 with them and how we can repent and feel the love of Christ again in our life. On Sunday, we had like 3 families that hadn't come in a long time come to church and it was awesome! I also gave my last talk as a missionary! That was low key sad. I shared 1 Nephi 8 and how we need to grasp ourselves to the iron rod and keep going strong and it was awesome! So all in all this week was mas o menos.
I'm doing well. Trying to stay focused! 3 weeks left! :)

Great Week! One Month to Go!
Well this week I hit another month in the mission and just have 1 more to go!
This was a fun week and we found some really cool people and had a great baptism! Well, first the baptism! Ella se llama Mirian! She's the sister of Rocio and Maria who just got baptized a little while back. She too was a Jehovah's Witness but we hit her hard with the Book of Mormon and the teachings of the prophets and she accepted the message! She's awesome! So my companion baptized her but he isn't strong and he couldn't lift her up, so we ended up baptizing her face forward and that was definitely a first for me here in the mission! But it was really nice and a good service!
Then on Sunday morning, the husband of one of the members came to church and he's been listening to the members now for like 10 years but just has not wanted to get baptized! So on Monday night he accepted to listen to us and we went and just focused super hard on teaching him all about the Priesthood and how he needs the Priesthood in his home to bless his daughters and wife. Then we showed him a great talk from the conference in abril! (https://www.lds.org/general- conference/2018/04/saving- ordinances-will-bring-us- marvelous-light?lang=eng) and at the end of the leccion he accepted a baptism date! IT WAS AWESOME!
Stay safe RAMBO!

Last Transfer in Mission - 7/2/18
Well, I just hit my last transfer in the mission and now I just have a short 5 weeks left here in Ecuador and I got my wish! I'm training again and I'm training a new missionary from Santa Cruz, Bolivia, se llama Elder Ribera! Super humble guy! He has no idea how to speak and it's been kind of hard, but he's happy to be out here and it's definitely making me work hard everyday to be a good example and to keep pushing until the end, so that's good!
This last week we had an awesome BAUTISMO! Ella se llama Tatiana! She has 19 years and she's like the mom in her family because just one day her mom just packed up and dipped on her family so now she's in charge! So her baptism was awesome. During the baptism, a member's 8 year old son was also getting baptized and he went right after Tatiana. He had a difficult time going through with the baptism because he was scared of getting his face wet! We had to talk to him, pray with him and help him until finally he was like, ok, but then as we baptized him he was scared so we just had to pray that he could do it and just dunk him! He cried a little, but then yesterday he bore his testimony in church and all is well! He was happy as can be!
I'm working really hard with the less active members in our area and trying to help them understand they need to come to church and feel loved. I'm excited to come home and eat US food! I keep forgetting what it tastes like! I have forgotten! I don't remember what there is!

BIRTHDAY WEEK!
Well, this past week started off on Monday night having a huge birthday party with all of the members and hitting the big 21 here in Ecuador! So crazy! It was so fun and we had so many converts and investigators there, so it was awesome! Unfortunately, I don't have the video but I even sang to everyone the great old song, "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen and that was so funny and a really fun night! The members are great!!!
Later in the week, we had interviews with Presidente Moreno and that was awesome! He shared some great stories with me and told me to always grasp onto the iron rod and always do the Lord's will. It was awesome! In the end of our interview, he asked me if he could do anything for me and so I asked him if I could end my mission training and he just smiled and said, "We will see." After that, he went out and bought me a birthday cake and as a zone we ate cake together. On Friday morning at 5am, we all went to the Guayaquil temple and that was a great treat. I sure love going there! On Saturday, our bautismos fell through because the whole family suddenly became super anti-Mormon and wanted really nothing to do with us, so that was tough. But it's just the mission life and things like that help to strengthen my own testimony of the gospel! On Sunday President called us and we had transfer calls! My companion left and now I'm going to end my last 6 weeks training a new missionary and I'm super excited! It should be a fun one! He comes on Wednesday, so right now I'm just chilling with the Zone leaders!
I love the Book of Mormon and 2nd Nephi chapter 4! It talks all about the love of God. It's a great read!
All is well!
