Elder Max Hoole ~ Ecuador Guayaquil South Mission: March 19, 2018

Huancavilca!!!

Well, last Monday night I was with my companion just teaching and doing that missionary thing and at 8;15pm President Moreno called me and told me that I had transfers to Guayaquil and that I would be leaving the next morning after zone conference! I was in shock!!! It gave me 30 minutes to say goodbye to everybody and like 4 hours to pack up! Haha It was for sure something else!

So I am now in Guayaquil again! Living in the Zone Huancavilca! My new companion is Elder Inuma from Peru. He has about 14-15 months in the mission. He used to be a DJ in Peru so we have a lot of the same taste in music! He's chill! We are both Zone leaders! Our sector is pretty small. There are a ton of members, but they just aren't going to church right now! Funny thing, I swear all the members here have served missions! We have the mall in our sector so yeah, I have eaten pretty well this last week! It is super low key and nice here! Most of the members here just happen to live in the same apartment building. Right now, we don't really have anybody to teach. I feel like this happens to me a lot in new areas haha! We do have a super dope investigator who is progressing! Se llama Raul. He's from Peru. His family members are all members of the Church too! He just needs to get married to his wife! We actually went with him this morning up to the north to help him with some paperwork so that he can get married faster. It was awesome because we got to go with him up North in Guayaquil! I called President Moreno Sunday night to ask if it would be cool and he said Yes!!! So yeah, we went up north this morning!

I also ate a super awesome Ecuadorean breakfast and then came back home and we went over and did some shopping in the local mall haha! Looks like there are some dope new movies coming out! haha!

All is well with me! You all should take some time to read in the Doctrine and Covenants Section 88 this week. It is full of great scripture!
